Our office only uses digital dental x-rays to diagnose dental conditions and disease. Digital x-ray uses a sensor to capture the image of teeth, gum, and oral structures and conditions. 

 

The benefits of using digital x-rays include the ability to see small hidden areas of decay between teeth or below existing restorations, it can be viewed instantly on the computer screen, it is environmentally friendly since no chemical is being used to process the image, and the dental image can be stored and easily shared with insurance companies and other dentists.

The amount of radiation exposure is very low with digital x-rays.
